Wood, glass, stones and shells, 15.5″w x 10.5″ d x15″h, found in Gardiner, ME, 19th century

Who lived in this meticulously crafted house? Roof is constructed of old boards from Stow’s Chemical Erasive Soap, Wood & Nickerson, Providence, RI, dating from the latter part of the 19th century. The tiny shells used are typical of those found in Sailor’s Valentines, dating from the mid to late 1800s.
