This wonderful composition, executed with sure black line and pale watercolor is the work of the eccentric Godie, who lived on the street and began selling her work on the steps of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work can be found in various museums, including the Museum of American Folk Art, Milwaukee Art Museum, and Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.
